Although according to the Linksys Support page this product doesn&#8217;t exist (only the version 1 does), it&#8217;s a crappy device but sometimes does the job.<\/p>\n<p>The hardware information for this product is as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hardware ID:05004A8C3C<br \/>\nFirmware Version:6051<br \/>\nMAC Address:00-14-BF-XX-XX-XX<br \/>\nProtocol ID:800E<br \/>\nDefault Name:LK6DD399<br \/>\nServer Name:PRINTSERVER<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;ve read some on the web that firmware for version 1 also should run on version 2.<br \/>\nI also tried the webinterface\u00a0but couldn&#8217;t upgrade to a newer firmware version 6051, it gave me a &#8220;Upgrade fail&#8221;. Then\u00a0I started the BiAdmin Management Utility, which can be downloaded from the Linksys Site.<\/p>\n<p>The util gave me this info, notice the FIRMWARE VERSION 6050:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/before.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-76\" title=\"before\" src=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/before-300x244.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/before-300x244.png 300w, https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/before.png 496w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then I hit the upgrade symbol (the chip symbol) and entered the password (which by default is &#8220;admin&#8221;).<br \/>\nThe util gave me the option to select the interface to use, which wasn&#8217;t too much:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-77\" title=\"nic\" src=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic-300x227.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic-300x227.png 300w, https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic.png 436w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Whatever I entered, after pressing &#8220;OK&#8221; I got a nice &#8220;Access to the target is in failure&#8221;&#8230;. thanks for the great software Linksys &#8211; a Cisco company!<br \/>\nRunning the software as an administrator didn&#8217;t solve the issue. I realised that it could have something to do with my OS, being win7 beta.<\/p>\n<p>After settings the program compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/compat.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-78\" title=\"compat\" src=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/compat-212x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/compat-212x300.png 212w, https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/compat.png 377w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 212px) 100vw, 212px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And restarting the program as an administrator, the interface dialog finally gave me something usefull:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-79\" title=\"nic-2\" src=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic-2-300x227.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic-2-300x227.png 300w, https:\/\/pieter.wigleven.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/nic-2.png 436w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After selecting an interface, I could select an image\u00a0file to upload to the device.
